The new “Hero Helping Heroes” program gifts $5,000 in free services to deserving community members
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn (September 23, 2024) – Hero Home Services, the top-rated air conditioning, heating, and plumbing provider that has served the Twin Cities for over 100 years, recently launched its “Hero Helping Heroes” program at local nonprofit DinoMights’ 30th Annual Youth Hockey Fundraiser.
Through the new program, community members are invited to nominate deserving heroes who are Veterans, law enforcement, firefighters, EMS, healthcare professionals, teachers or are in the military. Each quarter, one hero will be recognized and will receive a $5,000 credit for home services from the company.
“The Hero Helping Heroes program is our opportunity to work together with the Minneapolis community to give back to the individuals who protect and serve the city that we all love,” said Zach Engen, President of Hero Home Services. “As home services experts, we know how crucial functioning systems are to comfort at home, and we are proud to be able to provide that gift for our local heroes.”
Chung Yu was chosen as the inaugural winner for his volunteer work as a youth hockey coach at DinoMights. For the past five years, Chung has served as a mentor to the children he coaches while also providing them with insights from his career in banking during academic tutoring sessions. Members of the Hero team presented him with the credit earlier this month.
“Chung’s dedication and enthusiasm for community service are unmatched, and he’s made a great impact on our program,” said Lyna Saengsourichanh, Volunteer Coordinator for DinoMights.
