How to Hang a Flat-Screen

With football season right around the corner, now is the perfect time to purchase a new flat-screen television. If you love throwing parties on Sundays with your best friends and family, nothing makes the viewing experience better than having a crystal clear TV. But when it comes to mounting the TV on the wall, it can get a bit tricky. So follow these steps to create the perfect setup for your Sunday afternoons.

The first step is to decide on the mount. Do you want a fixed, non-adjustable mount or one that tilts and turns? When purchasing a mount, it’s important to know the television’s weight and screen size for proper support. Keep in mind that building codes may not permit wires to be buried inside the wall, so that’s another thing to consider when purchasing a mount.

Then you will need to find the studs in the wall to properly install the mount. Drill pilot holes for the lag screws and then install the lag bolts and washers but don’t tighten them completely until you decide where exactly you want the TV.

When it comes to power supply, we recommend calling in an expert electrician. Dealing with live wires, sockets and power cords can be very dangerous so our electricians are here to help!
