Things to Do in Minneapolis This Weekend

Kick summer off on the right foot by taking advantage of the myriad of events going on in the Twin Cities this weekend! Why sit at home when you can get out and enjoy the wonderful shows, museums and other activities these beautiful cities have to offer? See below for a list of some family fun we recommend checking out this weekend:

Saturday

9:00 am – Firefighters Hall and Museum: this 12,000 square foot museum features historic items from Minnesota fire departments dating back to the 1860s.

9:30 am – Saturday Mornings on the Farm: Explore the barn, meet animals, assist with chores, and participate in other seasonal farm activities. Dress for the weather; closed-toe shoes required. Gale Woods Farm, County Road 110 West, Minnetrista.

11:00 am – Uptown Food Truck Festival: Calling all foodies! This is one of the Twin Cities most popular events and it’s absolutely free! Fill your day with food, beer and live music!

3:00 pm – Celebration of Families – BBQ Competition: Who doesn’t love a slab of delicious baby backs, burgers or pulled pork sandwiches? Come celebrate the 6th Annual BBQ Competition!

8:30 pm – Movies in the Park: E.T. Finish your day off with a relaxing movie in the park. Bring a blanket and some popcorn and enjoy a beautiful summer night!
