Your Guide to Choosing the Right Fixtures

We’re smack dab in the middle of the holiday season and your friends and family members keep asking what they can get you. Your immediate response is usually, “I don’t need anything,” but then you realize those fixtures in the kitchen and the bathrooms went out with the Twist. Whether it’s time to replace them due to their obsolescence, or they no longer work they way they’re supposed to, here’s what you need to know in order to choose the right fixtures:

  1. Be mindful of what’s already there. If you’re replacing a faucet and there are already holes drilled into the countertop, you should probably stick to something that will fit in the existing space. It could cost you lots of additional money to relocated the faucet or the plumbing to a new area.

  2. Think about how many family members will need to use that specific fixture. It may make more sense to go with two sinks instead of just one.

  3. Consider style and material. Neutral tones work well in you prefer longevity to trends and know that there are lots of variations when it comes to shapes and sizes.

  4. Don’t forget that there will come a time when you need to clean your next fixtures. The more complicated and intricate the fixture is, the more time and energy you’ll have to put into cleaning.
